Mastering the Fundamentals of Clockmaking
The Art and Craft of Metalworking in Horology
Horology is an ancient craft—far more than just luxury brands and exclusive boutiques. A true clockmaker should be capable of fabricating almost every component of a timepiece from scratch.
This book offers a thorough introduction to the essential metalworking skills required for that purpose. The author has made it a priority to present these traditional techniques and processes in a clear, accessible, and contemporary format.

To reduce shipping costs, you can also order the book directly from Amazon (external link).
Be advised that, unfortunately, I have no control over the print quality provided by Amazon. The version printed by Amazon uses a standard printing process and comes with a glued binding.
The edition offered directly here on my website is printed in Germany and is produced with higher print quality, thread stitching, and thicker paper.
Notice
Thank you very much to all customers for the great interest in my book. The first print run sold out much faster than expected, and the book is therefore currently out of stock.
A new batch is already in production, and the book will be available directly from me again starting in June 2026.
For international customers, the book can still be ordered via Amazon. Please note that this is a simpler-quality edition. There is also currently still an opportunity to order copies of the high-quality “Printed in Germany” edition through Cousins UK.
The order form on my website can continue to be used as usual. Interested customers will receive a notification as soon as the book becomes available again.
